The Oahu Blackout: Is It An Alien Message To Obama?
By Bill Knell
UFO researchers assume that most incoming U.S. Presidents are told about UFOs and Aliens as part of at least one of their pre-inauguration intelligence briefings. However, there is also evidence that UFOs still fall into the “need to know” secrecy category and not everything the U.S. Military and Intelligence Community knows about them may be shared with the nation’s Chief Executive. That may have left doubts in their mind, caused some former presidents to initially ignore the subject or not take it seriously enough.
There is circumstantial evidence that indicates how various U.S. Presidents have viewed the subject of UFOs and Extraterrestrials as they entered the high office. John F. Kennedy had a daytime UFO sighting along with guests visiting the Kennedy Compound which consists of about six acres along the Nantucket Sound in Hyannis, Massachusetts, in 1962. A classic flying saucer (disc) type of UFO appeared for several minutes near a boat being used by the president and his guests, then it sped away at a fantastic speed.
The late Dr. Michael Wolf, a former government scientist that worked in areas that allowed him access to information about extraterrestrials, commented about the Kennedy sighting to me in a phone conversation I recorded in 1991:
“We (Wolf and his wife Sarah) were visiting the Kennedy compound in 1962 when it happened… I was sick in bed with the flu… Sarah was in the boat with his other guests and saw the disc… When they got back to shore, JFK told everyone. ’We not going to talk about this‘… I believe it was a message to Kennedy… He was given limited information about Aliens visiting our planet and wasn’t interested… That wasn’t the response the military or some extraterrestrials expected… I think they wanted to send him a clear message to pay attention and take them seriously…”
If Wolf was correct and I believe he was, Kennedy either didn’t believe or didn’t take seriously enough the limited briefing he was given on UFOs and Extraterrestrials as he began his presidency. He needed some kind of an object lesson and the UFO sighting in front of guests and a befuddled Secret Service powerless to do anything about it was the perfect solution.
Various people that had conversations with the president after that event said that he suddenly began to take the subject very seriously: Perhaps too seriously. He indicated a desire to reveal what he knew about UFOs and Aliens to the American Public. According to some conspiracy theory buffs, that may have gotten him killed by a secret government within a government that maintains control in case of a national emergency.
The actual existence of such a secret government was confirmed after the terrorism attacks of 9/11/01. Although details were left sketchy, it was obvious that there was some sort of system in place in case of a national security emergency or if things suddenly went against the standard political playbook written by the military and intelligence services of the USA. I would imagine that news of plans for a sudden presidential announcement might fall into the category of a need to activate a portion of the secret government. Just look at what happened on 9/11.
Just when the nation needed to hear from the president, George W. Bush was whisked off into hiding. Although the steps taken were allegedly for his own safety, that makes little sense when you consider the fact that Bush was placed aboard Air Force One at a time when the security of the skies over America was in serious question. He was also taken to military facilities which certainly would have been some of those first attacked if the 9/11 incidents had been the work of more than just a few dedicated terrorists.
I believe that the game plan for any national emergency involves the immediate silencing of the President and other important leaders. You may recall that members of Congress and other important government officials were taken to an unfinished bunker at an undisclosed location and cut off from the media and their constituents. Despite their protests, none were allowed to leave until Vice President Cheney somehow managed to intercede and have them returned to the nation’s capital.
Given the level of secrecy that surrounds the subject of UFOs, it seems that many of the emergency plans currently in place and approved by the secret government have more to do with cutting off elected officials from the press and public, than protecting them in a time of national emergency. This furthers the theory that secret government insiders do not trust elected officials and are concerned about what they might say during an emergency.
While evidence indicates that recent Presidents like Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford and Dwight D. Eisenhower began their Presidency’s with a keen interest in UFOs and Aliens, others like John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon and George W. Bush may have needed some encouragement to take the matter seriously.
President Richard M. Nixon welcomed back the first men to walk on the Moon, but did not support further NASA efforts to explore it or visit our nearest planetary neighbors due to the costs involved. He (technically) oversaw the closure of the Project Blue Book program which was the official Air Force investigation into the UFO phenomenon and expressed little interest in the Alien life forms.
With a need to bring the Vietnam War to an ‘honorable’ end, quell nationwide social upheavals, revitalize the U.S. Economy, rebuild America’s image abroad and fulfill a number of campaign promises that were a part of what seemed like grandiose political aims for any U.S. President, Nixon had little time for thoughts about much else.
Although not especially religious, Nixon was born into the Quaker faith and made no secret of that during his political career. He often stated that being a Quaker gave him a certain grounding in American religious and social culture. He said that it made his family strong and gave him a desire to serve his fellow Americans. However, his faith and well-known ambition didn’t leave much room for belief or interest in Aliens.
In 1969 Nixon instructed his Secretary of the Air Force to send a reply to a UFO researcher named Colman Von Keviczky in response to a letter that Colman wrote to the President requesting that he send a delegate to a scientific meeting about UFOs. The letter stated that Nixon believed there was no evidence that UFOs were of extraterrestrial origin. I know this all to be true because I lived near Colman Von Keviczky in New York City in the 1980s, collaborated with him on UFO research and saw his amazing collection of letters and documents from various political and military leaders.
By contrast, Nixon seems to have changed his mind about Aliens and had access to some amazing evidence that UFOs were of extraterrestrial origin by the end of his first term as president. It was near that time that his friend and famous actor/comedian, Jackie Gleason, asked Nixon if UFOs were of extraterrestrial origin. Gleason was interested in many paranormal subjects including UFOs. He later said that Nixon arranged a visit to a Florida air force base where Jackie was shown bits and pieces of a crashed UFO and Alien bodies.
The change in Nixon’s attitude may have been caused by several factors including some strange occurrences near his compound in Key Biscayne, Florida. These include several unexplained power outages and the appearance of UFOs in the day and night skies near his home in the sunshine state. K.T. Frankovich, a friend and neighbor of Richard and Pat Nixon, claims to have been abducted and says that odd weather occurrences in the area and even the number of deaths in various hurricanes that have hit the region have been misreported or covered up by the government for unknown reasons.
Several years ago I received an email from a person that claims he briefly worked at the Nixon Compound in Key Biscayne. This person claims that President Nixon’s stays at his Florida retreat were not always relaxing. He says that there were times when Nixon walked outside of his house and his presence seems to have caused an instant weather change, the appearance of a UFO or other odd phenomenon. This frightened Pat, house guests and members of Nixon’s household staff.
If extraterrestrials were trying to get President Nixon’s attention, they must have succeeded. The incident with Gleason and an alleged plan to educate the American Public about UFOs are proof of that. It’s believed that Nixon was going to use several resources at his disposal to let the extraterrestrial cat out of the bag. One was a bizarre idea he had to equip television sets made or sold in the USA with a special chip. The chip would allow the government to interrupt any TV program with emergency news.
Typically of the paranoid president, he also wanted to use the chip to make the TV sets interactive. If his plan had been implemented, the chips placed in TV sets would have allowed the government to spy on Americans in an unprecedented way. Not only would it have allowed the government or anyone with access to the computers that would monitor the chips to collect information about TV viewing habits, but it was allegedly able to make use of existing technologies to monitor conversations and even phone calls in the household where a TV equipped with such a microchip existed whether the phone was on the hook or not.
Nixon’s other opportunity to tell the American Public about UFOs came as Project Bluebook ended. Whether he was concerned that Americans would not accept the findings of the Air Force investigation or was just worried that the truth about what the U.S. Government really knew about UFOs we eventually leak out no one can say. However, Nixon allegedly placed his seal of approval on a plan to create a disclosure film made with the cooperation of the Air Force and the blessing of the government.
By 1973, UFOs It Has Begun was almost completed. The documentary was narrated by Rod Serling (of Twilight Zone and Night Gallery fame) and featured an impressive list of famous actors, retired or former members of the military, scientists, UFO researchers and witnesses. The last segment of the film was going to feature actual footage of a UFO landing at a U.S. Air Force Base provided by the government. Some say the film was also supposed to show Aliens disembarking from their ship. Evidence like that would leave no doubt in people’s minds that UFOs and extraterrestrials were real.
The Watergate scandal heralded the end of the Nixon Presidency and caused a last minute government decision to back out of their agreement to provide the amazing UFO film footage for the documentary. Although it remains one of the finest UFO documentaries ever made, UFOs: It Has Begun never became the smoking gun it was intended to be. The footage of the UFO landing was replaced by drawings and animation turning what was supposed to be the most amazing segment of the film into just another alleged military encounter with a UFO.
Some believe Nixon was politically targeted by those in the government that strongly felt that the time was just not right for disclosure. The Watergate scandal and Nixon’s almost uncontrollable ambition to gain power for the office of the President was a natural for those who wanted him stopped fast. He resigned the presidency on August 8, 1974.
Prior to his resignation and despite the fact that he had been a fairly popular president that effectively brought American Troops home from Vietnam, there was an unprecedented serious of attacks on Nixon by newspapers and the electronic media of the day. It all appeared to be a very well-orchestrated effort that eventually succeeded in getting him to resign in the face of charges that he covered up misdeeds by himself and members of his administration.
George W. Bush has also proven to be a reluctant believer in UFOs. Like Kennedy and Nixon, he may was probably lightly briefed on the subject, but simply hasn’t taken it seriously enough to suit government insiders and, possibly, the extraterrestrials themselves. Although his father had to know much more about Aliens than George W. did when he began his presidency, it’s doubtful that George H. W. Bush discussed the matter much with
Years of UFO research have taught me that there are many things that go on behind the scenes involving UFOs, various Alien races and extraterrestrial politics. Some of these things may require presidential attention and that last thing anyone dealing with such matters needs is a president that refuses to accept the reality of extraterrestrail visitations to our Earth.
While it would be easy to believe that President Bush probably tried to push any decisions regarding UFOs off to Vice President Cheney or other highly placed members of the government, that isn’t always possible. Circumstantial evidence indicates that President Eisenhower may have actually met with Aliens twice during his presidency. There are some things that a U.S. President must do for himself or, as the saying goes, only Nixon could have went to China.
Despite an alleged promise made by President George W. Bush to have Vice President Dick Cheney release files and information about UFOs, that is not likely to happen. Bush and Cheney are now and have always been interested more in secrecy than disclosure. Their record reveals more emphasis on secrecy, not less. Although we do not know what’s going on behind the scenes, it seems that President Bush has been a frequent target of possible Alien attempts to get his attention.
Evidence shows that at least one of the Erath County, Texas, UFO sightings were related to an illegal and unexpected over flight of the Bush Ranch in Crawford by unknown aircrafts. One or more of these objects flew over protected presidential airspace in Crawford (according to FAA radar), then continued towards Erath County where the objects were chased by military jets. That event occurred last January and was seen by multiple witnesses.
Apart from the Texas UFO events, at least one unknown aircraft was spotted heading towards the White House on November 20, 2003. According to reports which appeared in newspapers at the time, President George W. Bush was in the White House at that time and was evacuated to another location without much fanfare between 9am and 9:30am in then morning. Two F-16s were scrambled from Andrews Air Force Base, but subsequent attempts to get more information about this event have proven to be fruitless.
Given President Elect Barack Obama’s lack of interest in things that occur outside of the Earth’s atmosphere and his plans to allegedly cut the NASA budget and concentrate on economic problems closer to home, it would not be surprising to find that he might also need a wake up call from the extraterrestrials and their human allies elsewhere in the U.S. Government. That call may have already been placed.
On Friday, December 26, 2008, a sudden and unexpected power outage occurred on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. Among the almost one million people affected by the outage, was President Elect Barack Obama. He was staying with his family in a waterfront home near downtown Honolulu when the blackout hit. Although a thunderstorm was initially blamed for the outage, that explanation didn’t make any sense.
The power outage was progressive. It began around 6:45pm and was actually centered around the area where Barack Obama and his family were staying. The outage spread out from there and took almost two hours to encompass the entire island. As of this writing, Hawaiian Electric still has no explanation for the blackout. The last major outage to occur on Oahu took place in 2006 as the result of a major earthquake.
People living in Hawaii or visiting there have reported hundreds of UFO sightings over the past decade, so we know that they are not an uncommon sight over the skies of the various islands that make up the state. Sightings have included everything from fireballs to cigar shaped objects and classic discs. A number of these events have occurred over military facilities, including a sighting that occurred in broad daylight over Kaneohe Marine Base in August of 2008.
It can easily be argued that a U.S. President is the most powerful person in the world at this time. However, these people are also humans with their own belief systems, philosophies and political viewpoints. When they come into office, presidents have to make many adjustments in order to survive in their own political environment, as well as adapting to diplomatic standards which allow them and our nation to be well represented abroad.
Once a new president begins to receive classified intelligence briefings, he or she suddenly faces the possibility that they may have to adapt their own beliefs and political philosophies to meet the need of any possible threats to our national security. Failing to do so or act in a timely manner to deal with such threats can bring diplomatic, social and even military repercussions that no one wants. The same concept may be applied to what happens when a president elect suddenly discovers that we are not alone in the universe.
Time is precious when you are the leader of the free world. However, time may also be the only thing that allows a newly elected president to adjust his thinking to allow for the existence of extraterrestrials that are visiting the earth. How much time depends on the individual. Given the recent events in Hawaii, it’s not unreasonable to assume that President Elect Obama has received his first wake up call from E.T.
With talk of 2009 being a year of disclosure and an unprecedented series of very public UFO sightings and encounters occurring over the past year or two, Obama may have to accept the unbelievable a bit faster than his predecessors. When he does, we hope that he will heed the warning once issued by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in a 1961 speech:
“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”
As with other matters, there are those within government that will try and use the subject of extraterrestrials to pad their own pockets and promote agendas that are not in concert with the public good. Knowing as much or more than most humans do about extraterrestrials because he studied and worked beside them, Dr. Michael Wolf once made this statement:
"I look forward to the day when the secrecy surrounding extraterrestrial contact ends so that our race can move forward to the next phase of its history, now cosmic in scale." Known as a philanthropic man who cared about people, Dr. Wolf could never be accused of being some sort of alien collaborator. After spending many hours on the phone with him over the last ten years before he passed away, I can honestly say that he felt disclosure was in out best interest and would lead to our own technological and spiritual growth and development. This is a lesson I hope our newly elected president learns and puts into practice.
